Questions
Does the first file stay first?
Yes, unless you rearrange pages. If you do, the server builds the PDF from that list, not from the upload order.
Can I drop a page?
Yes. Remove it from the page list. That is the same operation as extract, kept here so you do not have to make a second trip.
Will the files be larger afterward?
Usually close to the sum of the inputs. Merge does not recompress images. Use Compress PDF if size is the problem.
