Privacy

What is stored, how long it lasts, and how a legal request is handled.

Files

Uploads are private to the job that created them. They are not listed in a public folder and they are not indexed. The download requires the unguessable token returned to the browser that uploaded the file. When that download finishes, the bytes are overwritten and the directory is removed. If you never download the result, the same deletion runs within about 10 minutes. A failed or cancelled job is deleted immediately.

DocuLite does not extract document text, titles, or image metadata for advertising. JPEG, PNG, and WebP uploads are re-encoded without EXIF before they enter a PDF.

What remains

The public site does not ask you to create an account. Job metadata used to operate the service — tool name, counts, errors, sizes — can remain for 30 days. That is an operational log, not a copy of the document. IP addresses are stored only as a keyed hash so the daily limit can be applied. There is no page where those files can be downloaded again.

Email

Support replies need outbound email to be configured. If it is not, the ticket is still stored and the server says mail was not sent. DocuLite does not run a public mailing list.

Legal requests

A request moves through four checks: it is submitted, someone confirms the requester is in a position to ask, counsel or the operator confirms the legal basis, and only then is the minimum remaining information disclosed or the request denied. Deleted files are not reconstructed. The disclosure record states what was provided.

People in the EEA and UK

You can ask for a copy of the operational record that still exists, or ask that it be deleted, through the contact page. Deleted files are not reconstructed. The operational log described above is the security record.
