About DocuLite

A small workbench for people who already know which PDF operation they need.

DocuLite is made by veilsphere. It is for clerks, counsel, researchers, and operators in the United States and Europe who get a file, fix one thing, and send it on. The tools are merge, split, extract, rotate, compress, image to PDF, and PDF to image. Each one is a real conversion. There is no sample output standing in for a processor.

Structural edits run through qpdf. Compression runs through Ghostscript. Page pictures run through Poppler. Images are checked with libvips. Each of those programs runs under a memory, CPU, and file-size limit, and only one or two jobs run at a time. Uploads are streamed to disk instead of being held entirely in the Node process.

The tools are free. There is no account to create and nothing for sale. If you want to help cover the server, the donate page accepts Bitcoin only.

The product refuses a few things on purpose. It does not take PDF passwords. It does not keep document text for ads. It deletes the working copy when your download finishes, and it does not offer a deleted file back.
