Merge PDFs without scrambling the page order
A merge goes wrong when the packet’s story and the file order disagree. The cover letter ends up after the appendix because that scan finished last, or page 4 of the contract is a photo that arrived in a second email. DocuLite’s merge is a page list, not a pile.
Leave the list alone and the files stay in the order you dropped them, each file from its first page to its last. Open the page order when the packet has a required sequence. “File 2 · page 1” means the first page of the second upload. Move that row to the top if it is the letter. Drop a row if that scan was a duplicate.
Two habits keep exhibits straight. Name the files on your computer before you upload, even though DocuLite does not store those names, because you still have to recognize them in the list. And check the first and last thumbnail, not the middle. Most scrambled packets are wrong at the boundary between two source files.
If you only need three pages out of a long scan, Extract pages is the smaller tool. Merge is for when the sources are already separate and the result should be one PDF. Neither tool tries to read the words. If a file asks for a password, it is refused rather than unlocked.
